After a successful testing session, followed by a 6 hr meeting of the NSTS
officials. They had this to say.
We have some new and exciting developments for next season. Here is a brief over
lay of what will be happening.
- season extended to 12 weeks
- race length changed to 125-135 laps
- pit and tires changed to 2x
- we will no longer running dirt tracks
- we will not use the 358 mod
- 6 of the 12 races will use the outlaws
- remaining 6 races will use the skmod
After running several laps with the skmods at
the famed Thompson international speedway it was quite plain that to get back to
the great racing we know our drivers can put on we needed to make a change and
we feel this is the direction the series should go. what we are looking at doing
is alternating weeks all odd weeks we will race the outlaws the even weeks we
race the skmods. we will continue to run heat race to set qualifying.
We are currently looking for a race reporter if you are interested please
contact an official.
On a separate note, Justin Collison has been suspended for NSTS competition
effective immediately. Justin Has broken rule Section 2 subsection a. He will
loose all points earned so far this season and will not be allowed to compete
until such a time that the NSTS Official deem necessary. |
